Yes you are correct! Smart Pots can be made by the extreme do it yourselfers. Using landscaping felt is not the same however and the polypropylene fabric used in smart pots is not easily found or bought. For large scale growers making your own pots is not economically wise or reasonable, especially when you take a look at our prices!

A Smart Pot of fabric grow bag that is able to retain it's shape for large or small plants. The original smart pot was designed for use in large commercial tree nurseries. These containers use aeration to promote extreme root growth.
